 This old historic house has seem many changes and it caught my eye as I was looking for something to paint outdoors in the summer of 2009. Unfortunately the local council got a government grant to make the whole historic village wheelchair accessible and ran amok with clumsy pressure-treated decks, railing and steps, completely destroying the historical integrity of the buildings. I left all that out and did this first rough sketch before doing a studio painting later. Sketch size 8" x 10"
