Vine Ripened

Fruits and vegetables have been done to death I guess, but here is my take on a bunch of vine-ripened tomatoes. In some countries you may be wondering what these are, but in North America these are usually out-of-season tomatoes raised in a greenhouses the size of football fields. It's a great marketing gimmick as the green stalks really supply the visual delight which goes with fresh tomatoes in season. This was photographed under artificial light with a non-digital camera. The image is 9" x 14" on Arches 300lb cold pressed paper, using W&N Artist Quality paints.
